Game Time Frames
A portfolio-first site for a Hamilton sport photographer — built to convert team season, tournament, and event bookings across seven Southern Ontario markets, and cross-promoted through the sports network we already run.

The Challenge
Sport photography is sold almost entirely on the work itself. Nobody books a photographer from a services list — they book from a frame that made them stop scrolling. So the site has to function as a gallery first and a business second, without becoming so image-heavy that it loads slowly on the phone where most of the audience will see it.
The second problem is a cold start. A new photography business has no reviews, no ranking history, and no obvious reason for a league organizer to trust it with a tournament. It needs credibility borrowed from somewhere before it can build its own.
Our Approach
Made the gallery the entire argument
Featured work sits above almost everything else, with individual frames labelled by the moment they capture — hitting, pitching, throwing to first, catching in the outfield. The pitch is that the photographer is reliably in the right place at the decisive moment, and only actual frames prove that.
Built for seven markets, not one
Hamilton, Burlington, Caledonia, Kitchener, London, Dorchester, and Niagara Falls each get their own service area coverage. Photographers travel for tournaments, so the catchment is genuinely regional and the site is structured to be found in each market rather than only the home one.
Borrowed credibility from the network
The site names TeamGear Canada, Slo-Pitch Central, and The Den Baseball Facility as partners. These are real working relationships across our sports portfolio, and for a new business they answer the trust question immediately — the photographer is embedded in the local baseball ecosystem rather than cold-calling into it.
What We Built
Sport-segmented galleries
StructureBaseball is live, with football, basketball, and soccer staged as the portfolio grows. Segmenting from day one means each sport can rank on its own terms later without a restructure, and the roadmap is visible to a visitor rather than hidden.
Seven-market service area coverage
Local SEOFrom Hamilton out to London and Niagara Falls — matching the real travel radius for tournament and season work rather than pretending the business is Hamilton-only.
Direct booking enquiry
ConversionA short contact form aimed specifically at team seasons, tournaments, and events — the three booking types that actually pay — rather than a generic "get in touch" catch-all.
Network cross-promotion
DistributionPartner placement alongside TeamGear, Slo-Pitch Central, and The Den puts the photographer in front of exactly the leagues and facilities that book this work — distribution a new business could not otherwise buy.

Key Takeaways
- ✓For visual services the portfolio is the pitch — everything else is supporting material
- ✓Segment by category from day one so growth does not require a restructure
- ✓A regional catchment should be built into the site structure, not bolted on later
- ✓A network of related businesses is the fastest way to solve a new venture’s cold-start problem
